1. você paga os 38 reais de agendamento. acho que um ou dois dias depois o sistema deles libera pra você agendar e SÓ então você pode tirar dúvidas através de telefone [eles não respondem NADA por email, eu tentei, hehe]

2. tem uma conversa de que você pode tirar foto e pagar taxa perto do consulado. NÃO FAÇA ISSO. você só vai perder tempo e enfrentar mais filas [o consulado de SP é mais cheio, mas o do Rio deve ser mais ou menos a mesma coisa]

3. a taxa de 141 dólares [eu paguei essa semana e ficou em 252 reais] SÓ pode ser paga no citibank. no site deles tem o endereço de todas as agências.
quando você for pagar tem que levar o passaporte, porque a autenticação é feita com o seu nome e número do passaporte.
é bom conferir se está tudo digitado certinho.

4. para você ENTRAR no consulado é obrigatório apresentar na porta:
* a página de confirmação de agendamento
* uma foto 5x7
* número do CPF
* passaporte [ÓBVIO]
* o comprovante de que você pagou a taxa do citibank
* em caso de renovação de visto LEVE seu passaporte antigo
* a página de confirmação de preenchimento do formulário DS-160. [que eles pedem pra você preencher pelo menos dois dias antes da entrevista, para poderem ter acesso no dia. como é código de barras, não imprime em função rascunho pra não dar merda... e sim, você vai gastar uma boa tinta a toa nessa página.
preenche tudo certinho pq talvez você tenha que comprovar o que escreveu lá.]
* comprovantes de renda/estudo
* não leve celular ou equipamentos eletrônicos. aqui em SP existe um guarda-volumes não oficial que fica exatamente na frente do Consulado. Cobram R$5,00. lá dentro tem telefone publico se você precisar. tem também banheiro e lanchonete.
* não é obrigatório mas leve dinheiro para pagar a taxa de envio, eles não aceitam cartão;

5. filas dentro do consulado
I) para pegar a senha que você vai utilizar nas próximas duas etapas
II) pré entrevista: dura cerca de um minuto, é mais para conferir seus documentos e saber o motivo da viagem.
III) impressões digitais: é a parte que mais demora, apesar de parecer simples. muita gente, relativamente poucas máquinas.
IV) entrevista: nessa parte você não precisa mais de senha e pode se dirigir a fila quando quiser. é uma entrevista super curta e vão te perguntar de novo o que você está indo fazer nos EUA e o que você faz aqui. A pessoa que me entrevistou apenas perguntou sobre meu emprego e qual curso minha irmã fazia na faculdade. SÓ. Não pediram documentos nem nada. Das pessoas que passaram antes poucas tiveram que apresentar algum documento, pelo que percebi a maioria delas estavam indo estudar por lá.
Bom, ao final da entrevista já te dizem se seu visto foi aprovado.
V) caixa: pagar o sedex que vai demorar +/- uma semana para enviarem pra você. eu que moro na mesma cidade onde o visto foi feito paguei R$22,00.
